In 1850 invents a telegraphic system to write electrochemical (Fig. 1) created in 1853 duplex telegraph transmission (Gleichzeitige  Doppeltelegraphie)  (simultaneous transmission on a single line), which allowed him to communicate with the same equipment clamps between Vienna and Prague effectively doubling the capacity of telegraph transmission. Fig. 2
