In
the course of a
study of the cathode rays in the laboratory it discovered in the 1897 ELECTRON
and succeeded to measure of the charge and the mass. It arrived to the
conclusion of the existence of “a new
state of the matter, in which all the matter is of a single kind, and
this matter is the substance with which the chemical elements are
constructed to all”. | |||
